Billing & Plans

Upgrading and managing your subscription

How to upgrade your plan through the billing interval modal and Stripe checkout, buy as a business, and manage or fix an existing subscription.

Starting an upgrade

Open Settings and go to the Billing tab. The buttons you see depend on your current plan:

  • Free plan: "Upgrade to Pro" and "Upgrade to Enterprise".
  • Pro plan: "Upgrade to Enterprise" and "Manage Subscription".
  • Enterprise plan: "Manage Subscription".

Clicking an upgrade button opens the billing interval modal.

Choosing a billing interval

The modal shows a summary of the plan you picked (its limits and feature list) and two billing options:

  • Monthly: billed every month, cancel anytime.
  • Yearly: billed once a year, at a discount compared to paying monthly. The exact prices for both intervals are shown in the modal and on the pricing page at cicdoo.com.

Select an interval, then click "Continue to checkout".

Purchasing as a business

If you need your company details on the invoice, switch on "Purchasing as a business?" in the same modal. Fill in:

  • Company Name (required)
  • VAT Number (optional)
  • Address, City, Postal Code, and Country (required)

These details are included on your invoice.

Checkout

After you click "Continue to checkout", you are redirected to a secure Stripe checkout page to enter payment details and complete the purchase. When payment succeeds, your plan is upgraded and the Billing tab reflects the new plan and limits.

Managing an existing subscription

Click "Manage Subscription" on the Billing tab. This opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can update your payment method and manage your subscription, including cancellation.

Warning banners

The Billing tab shows a banner when your subscription needs attention:

  • Pending cancellation: "Your subscription will be canceled at the end of the current billing period." You keep your plan until then.
  • Past due payment: "Your payment is past due. Please update your payment method to avoid service interruption." Use the "Update payment" link (which opens the same Stripe portal) to fix the payment method.
