DeployMonkey is a self-serve Odoo hosting control panel. You add any Linux server over SSH, and DeployMonkey installs Docker, configures the reverse proxy and deploys Odoo instances through a guided wizard: pick the version, Community or Enterprise, domain, workers and an environment label (production, staging or development). From one dashboard you get Git auto-deploy from GitHub or GitLab, scheduled backups to your own S3-compatible bucket, Let's Encrypt SSL, monitoring with email and Slack alerts, a browser shell, a pip package installer, container logs and a Connect As login to the Odoo backend. Its Vibe Coding feature generates custom Odoo modules from a plain-English description and deploys them.

CICDoo is a Git-driven Odoo DevOps platform. You connect Linux servers you own over SSH, link a GitHub or GitLab repository (GitLab.com or self-hosted GitLab), and CICDoo deploys an Odoo instance per branch in its own Docker container, with PostgreSQL alongside, nginx and automatic SSL. Branches map to development, staging and production. CICDoo also offers managed operations by its engineers.

These two are very similar in shape. The differences are in depth: version range, alert channels, access model and whether people, not only software, run your hosting.

Where they differ

Instance model. DeployMonkey creates instances through a wizard and labels each one as production, staging or development, with one-click clones of production to staging and branch-based environment mapping for Git. CICDoo starts from the repository: every branch is an instance, its stage decides how it behaves, and you promote work by merging between branches from the console (branches and instances).

Odoo versions. DeployMonkey supports Odoo 14 to 19. CICDoo supports 11.0 to the latest release, plus master, which matters if you still run older production databases or want to test against master.

Alerts. DeployMonkey monitors CPU, memory, disk and instance health with configurable thresholds, and sends alerts by email and Slack. CICDoo runs uptime checks and resource metrics and alerts by email, Telegram and SMS (alert notifications).

Access. DeployMonkey gives you a browser terminal into the container and says you keep full root access to your servers. CICDoo gives each team member their own SSH access to instances and a web IDE, so developers can work with their usual tools without sharing root. On permissions, DeployMonkey has owner, admin, developer and viewer roles with per-resource scope grants and an audit trail; CICDoo grants per resource and per action inside a workspace (workspace permissions).

Operations and AI. DeployMonkey is self-serve software, and as of September 2026 its plans with a server included are announced as coming soon. CICDoo offers an optional service where its engineers operate your servers, with ticketed human support. On AI, DeployMonkey generates modules from prompts on its higher plans. CICDoo has agent tasks that work on your repository and Claudoo, which does real Odoo work (confirm orders, post invoices, validate pickings) as the user with an audit trail.

Moving from DeployMonkey to CICDoo

1. Prepare a server. Provision a Linux server CICDoo can reach over SSH as root or a sudo user and add it to CICDoo. Use a fresh server so two panels are not configuring Docker and the proxy on the same machine.
2. Connect the repository. Link the same GitHub or GitLab repository and create the project, with production and staging branches. Modules you generated with DeployMonkey's AI should be committed to that repository first.
3. Export from DeployMonkey. Download a backup from the dashboard or take it from your own S3 bucket, where DeployMonkey stores scheduled backups. Make sure it includes the filestore.
4. Restore on staging. Configure your S3-compatible bucket in CICDoo, upload the backup zip in the instance's Backups tab and restore it on staging (backups and restore). Enable Enterprise if you use it.
5. Test. Carry over worker counts, memory limits, dbfilter and pip packages you set in DeployMonkey, then check scheduled actions, mail and integrations.
6. Cut over. Lower DNS TTL in advance, freeze writes, take a final backup, restore it on production and point your domain at the new server. SSL is issued once DNS resolves.
