EasyInstance and CICDoo in one minute

EasyInstance is a managed Odoo cloud hosting platform built by Cybrosys Assista, an official Odoo partner. You pick an Odoo version, name the instance and it is live on EasyInstance's infrastructure in about a minute, with SSL, daily backups, security patches and monitoring switched on. Custom modules sync from a GitHub repository on every push, pull requests get preview instances, and a curated browser terminal, an in-app module marketplace and a Python package installer cover day-to-day changes. Insy, its built-in AI assistant, answers business questions in plain words, prints reports and builds dashboards.

CICDoo is a Git-driven Odoo DevOps platform that runs Odoo on Linux servers you own, at any provider with SSH access. You link a GitHub or GitLab repository (GitLab.com or self-hosted GitLab), and CICDoo deploys an Odoo instance per branch in its own Docker container, with PostgreSQL alongside, nginx and automatic SSL. Branches map to development, staging and production. If you would rather not operate the servers, CICDoo engineers can run operations for you.

The core difference is ownership: EasyInstance owns and runs the infrastructure, CICDoo runs on yours.

Where they differ

Where Odoo runs. EasyInstance presents itself as fully managed hosting on its own cloud, and its public pages do not describe running on a server you provide. CICDoo only runs on servers you own (add a server), so your data stays in your cloud account and region, and you pay the provider directly with no compute markup. If you want zero infrastructure decisions, EasyInstance is the simpler path. If data location, provider choice or long-term cost control matter, CICDoo gives you that.

Git and environments. EasyInstance connects to GitHub, pulls the modules folder on every push to main and restarts Odoo, and gives each pull request a preview instance. CICDoo supports GitHub, GitLab.com and self-hosted GitLab, maps every branch to an instance and uses explicit development, staging and production stages (how stages work), with merges between branches from the console.

Shell access. EasyInstance gives you a real PTY in the browser, scoped to the Odoo instance, with helper commands (odoo-shell, odoo-update, odoo-install), destructive commands blocked and every session audited. It deliberately does not offer SSH. CICDoo gives each user their own SSH access to instances, plus a browser web IDE and console, which suits developers who want their usual tools and scp or rsync.

AI. Insy is aimed at business users: ask for unpaid invoices, a payslip PDF or a live dashboard, powered by OpenAI, OpenRouter or Gemini. CICDoo has two different tools: Claudoo, which does real Odoo work (confirm orders, post invoices, validate pickings) as the user through Odoo's business logic with an audit trail, and agent tasks that work on your project's repository.

Pricing model. EasyInstance charges per worker plus storage, with published rates and a calculator. CICDoo quotes per project, and your server cost goes to your provider.

Choose CICDoo if...

• You want Odoo on servers you own, at the provider and region you choose.
• You host code on GitLab, including self-hosted GitLab.

Moving from EasyInstance to CICDoo

1. Pick a server. Choose a provider and region, provision a Linux server CICDoo can reach over SSH as root or a sudo user, and add it to CICDoo. Size it for the number of workers you used on EasyInstance plus PostgreSQL.
2. Connect the repository. Link the GitHub repository your add-ons sync from and create the project. Modules you installed from EasyInstance's marketplace or by ZIP URL need to be added to the repository, since they do not live in Git.
3. Export from EasyInstance. Download a backup snapshot. EasyInstance says any snapshot can be downloaded to keep off-site. Make sure it includes the filestore, not only the database.
4. Restore on staging. With an S3-compatible bucket configured, upload the backup zip in the CICDoo instance's Backups tab and restore it on a staging branch (backups and restore). Add Python packages you installed through EasyInstance's package installer to your repository's requirements.
5. Test. Check scheduled actions, mail servers, integrations and anything that relied on EasyInstance's Google Drive, OneDrive or Nextcloud connectors.
6. Cut over. Lower DNS TTL in advance, freeze writes, take a final backup, restore it on production and point your domain at the new server. SSL is issued once DNS resolves.
