Every way to host Odoo, compared honestly
There are five kinds of Odoo hosting, and the right one depends on how much control you need, which edition you run and who will be on call. Here is how they differ, and where CICDoo fits.
The short answer
Which Odoo hosting is right for you
- Standard apps only, no custom code: Odoo Online is the simplest option.
- Enterprise with custom modules, happy on Odoo's infrastructure: Odoo.sh is the official platform.
- Community edition, your own servers, or data that must stay in a given country: self-host, with a control panel or a platform like CICDoo doing the operations.
- No in-house operations at all: a fully managed service, on their servers or yours.
- An agency running many client databases: a platform with workspaces, white-label and per-client isolation.
The longer answer, with every trade-off, is in the guide to choosing Odoo hosting.

FAQ
Questions, answered
What is the best Odoo hosting?
It depends on edition and control. Odoo Online suits standard apps with no custom code. Odoo.sh suits Enterprise teams happy on Odoo's infrastructure. If you run Community, need your own servers or data residency, or manage many client databases, self-hosting with a platform such as CICDoo gives you the Git workflow without the limits.
Can I host Odoo Enterprise on my own server?
Yes. Odoo Enterprise can run on your own infrastructure with a valid Enterprise subscription for your users and access to the enterprise addons.
Is Odoo.sh the only official Odoo hosting?
Odoo SA offers two hosted options, Odoo Online and Odoo.sh, and also supports on-premise deployment of the same software. Partners and platforms host Odoo on other infrastructure.
How much does Odoo hosting cost?
The structure differs more than the headline numbers. Odoo Online charges per user. Odoo.sh adds workers, storage and staging on top of Enterprise licences. Self-hosting costs a server plus the time to run it, and control panels add a fee on top of your server bill. CICDoo is quoted per project with no per-user fees, and your cloud provider bills the servers to you directly.
What is the best Odoo.sh alternative?
If you want the same Git branch workflow on your own servers with Community supported, a self-hosted platform. See CICDoo vs Odoo.sh and the product comparisons on this page.
