Alert notifications (email and SMS)
How to choose which monitoring alerts you receive for a project and where they are delivered.
Where to configure alerts
Alerts are configured per project:
- Open the project in the Console.
- Click Project Settings (bottom of the Console sidebar).
- Open the Notifications tab.
The settings here control where alerts for the project's production instance are delivered. Whatever channels you choose, alerts always also appear in the in-app notification bell at the top of the dashboard.
Choosing which events alert you
Under Alert Events, tick the situations you want to be told about:
- Instance down / back up: your production instance stops responding, and again when it recovers.
- SSL certificate / domain expiry warnings: your certificate or domain is close to expiring.
- Slow response time: the instance responds noticeably slower than normal.
Untick an event to stop receiving alerts for it.
Email alerts
In Alert Emails, enter one or more email addresses separated by commas, for example:
[email protected], [email protected]
Every address in the list receives the alert emails. Leave the field empty to disable email alerts for this project.
SMS alerts
In Alert Phone (SMS), enter a single phone number in international format with country code, for example +31612345678. That number receives a text message for the selected events. Leave the field empty to disable SMS alerts.
Telegram
The same tab also lets you connect a Telegram chat. Click Connect Telegram, then press Start in our Telegram bot to link the project to your chat. Once connected, alerts are delivered there too, and you can disconnect at any time from the same place.
Saving
Save the project settings after changing anything on this tab; the checkboxes and fields are stored together with the rest of the project settings.
