Workspaces and team collaboration

What workspaces are, the owner, admin and member roles, how to invite people, and where to manage a workspace.

What a workspace is

A workspace is a shared space where your team can manage servers, projects and instances together. It has its own name, URL (app.cicdoo.com/your-slug), optional logo and brand color. Members you invite can create and manage resources on the workspace owner's behalf, within the permissions you give them.

Workspaces are available to every account, and you can invite as many members as you need. Platform access is priced per project rather than per seat, so adding teammates does not change what you pay.

Roles: owner, admin and member

  • Owner: the person who created the workspace. The owner always has full access and manages billing, members and permissions.
  • Admin: a member with the Admin badge. Admins bypass the per-member permission checks and can act freely across the workspace.
  • Member: a regular teammate. What a member can see and do is controlled by granular permissions, both per action (for example creating servers or restarting instances) and per resource (which projects, instances and servers they may access). For details see Member permissions and resource access.

Managing your workspace

  1. Open Settings, then the Workspaces tab.
  2. If you have no workspace yet, enter a name and a slug (lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens) and click Create Workspace.
  3. In an existing workspace you can upload or change the logo, pick a brand color, and configure shared AI settings for log analysis.
  4. Under Members, invite a teammate by entering their email and clicking Invite. Next to each member you can open the permissions dialog (shield icon) or remove them.

Switching between workspaces

If you belong to one or more workspaces, the sidebar shows a Workspaces section under the main menu. Click a workspace to switch into it; a filter box helps when the list is long. Each workspace has its own URL based on its slug, so you can also bookmark it directly.

If you get stuck, open a support ticket from the Tickets page or the chat widget.
